Developing students' creativity in technology lessons through decorative and applied arts

The article defines the levels of students’ creativity development in technology lessons through the use of decorative and applied arts, namely: low, medium, and high.
The low level is characteristic of students who are capable of generating simple ideas or replicating existing models when completing creative tasks.
The medium level describes students who can apply creative thinking to problem-solving and the generation of new ideas. They are able to suggest non-standard solutions based on their experience and knowledge, exhibiting a certain degree of originality and mental adaptability.
The high level includes students who display advanced creativity, characterized by the ability to think innovatively and develop unique solutions. They are able to create something entirely new and unique, using various approaches and methods.
The article identifies specific aspects of creativity development in the context of studying the subject «Technology». Among the most significant are physiological characteristics, cognitive and social development, creative abilities, individual learning styles, and motivational support.
Attention is given to the methods that can be used to study students’ creativity during technology lessons. These include creative projects, collaborative tasks, the use of diverse materials and tools, encouragement of experimentation, stimulation of imagination and creative thinking, and analysis of results.
It is concluded that for the successful planning and conduct of a lesson, the teacher must have a deep knowledge of the subject and teaching methodology, a creative approach to their work, resourcefulness, a thoughtful attitude towards the use of different lesson formats, and an awareness of their own teaching style.
